Take your cargo off the road

The E313 between Antwerp and Liège is one of Belgium's busiest freight corridors. At our Genk-Zuid container terminal, cargo to or from the Port of Antwerp-Bruges can be transferred to barge and shipped via the Albert Canal, avoiding this road bottleneck.

Fewer trucks on congested roads

More predictable transit times

Lower emissions per container

A strong modal-shift solution for recurring cargo flows

A stronger gateway to the Port of Antwerp

The strength of an inland terminal lies in the network behind it. By partnering with Port of Limburg, Gosselin has transformed its Genk terminal into a stronger gateway to the Port of Antwerp. Consolidated container volumes, centralised planning and larger terminal calls enable more direct sailings, improved planning reliability and better access to deep-sea services.

51 000 m² of bonded warehousing

Genk-Zuid is supported by 51 000 m² of bonded warehousing for import, export and transit cargo.

Goods can be stored under customs control until they are released, meaning duties and taxes don't need to be paid immediately, helping customers manage cash flow and inventory planning.

Because the warehouse and quay are located on the same site, cargo can move directly from barge to storage, or from storage to truck, with fewer handling steps.

One site. One team. One partner.

At Genk-Zuid, terminal operations, warehousing, cargo handling and customs flows are managed within one integrated logistics setup.

Instead of coordinating several providers, customers work with one team that keeps the full flow aligned, from waterway transport to storage and onward road distribution. This reduces handovers, improves visibility and makes it easier to respond when volumes, cargo requirements or sailing schedules change.
