When standard transport isn't enough

Some cargo doesn't fit a standard trailer or a standard route. Gosselin's Heavy Transport Fleet is built for oversized, overweight and complex cargo: industrial machinery, renewable-energy components, wind turbine parts, modular structures and other project cargo that needs specialist handling from the first survey to final delivery.

Specialised equipment

Low-loaders, semi low-loaders, extendable flatbed trailers and heavy haul equipment, matched to the dimensions, weight and loading method of each shipment. Cargo is prepared, stored and transferred at our Oosterweel heavy-lift location near the Port of Antwerp-Bruges before onward transport.

Permits, escorts and route planning

Exceptional transport means more than a bigger truck. Our team handles route surveys, transport permits and escort vehicles, and has built working relationships with transport authorities in Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, France, Germany and the UK, with the network to plan routes across the rest of Europe as well.

Case study: a 110.5 ton steam boiler, Bilbao to Northern France

A single steam boiler, weighing 110.5 tons, moved from Bilbao to Northern France via the Port of Antwerp. The move required detailed route planning, permits across multiple countries and specialised heavy-haul equipment to keep the cargo secure at every stage. Delivered on schedule, without disruption to the client's production timeline.

Our track record also includes transporting a 92-ton dual diesel engine from Ghent to Antwerp, and the international transport of artist Arne Quinze's oversized art installations.

Part of Gosselin's connected network

Heavy transport doesn't operate in isolation. It connects to the same terminals, warehousing and customs infrastructure as the rest of Gosselin's network, so exceptional cargo can move alongside standard freight within one coordinated operation, from Belgium to destinations across Europe.
