The Gosselin LAR rail terminal in Rekkem
Gosselin LAR is our rail terminal in Rekkem, on the Belgian-French border just south of Kortrijk. The terminal takes its name from the LAR (Lauwe-Aalbeke-Rekkem) industrial zone in which it sits, one of the largest cross-border business parks in the region.
The terminal was previously operated by Delcatrans. Following Gosselin Group's acquisition of Delcatrans in 2025, it was rebranded as Gosselin LAR and integrated into our multimodal network.
It adds dedicated rail capacity to our network alongside our river terminal in Wielsbeke and our container terminals in Antwerp and Genk-Zuid, giving customers a faster, more sustainable alternative to long-haul road transport.
A scheduled rail connection to the Port of Antwerp-Bruges
Gosselin LAR operates a scheduled rail shuttle between the Port of Antwerp-Bruges and Rekkem, with 4 connections a week each way. This moves containers reliably between the deep-sea port and South-West Flanders, taking trucks off congested motorway corridors and reducing CO₂ per container moved.
Because departures run on a fixed schedule, cargo flows stay predictable: containers leaving the port reach Rekkem on a set rotation, and export cargo is consolidated at the terminal for the return leg. For recurring volumes, this gives planners a dependable rhythm rather than depending on road capacity and driver availability.
Immediate access to an 11 500+ m² bonded warehouse
Gosselin LAR has immediate, on-site access to Gosselin's own 11 500+ m² bonded warehouse. Containers can move directly between rail handling and storage without additional road movements, while bonded status streamlines customs processing for non-EU cargo and defers duties and VAT until goods are released.
Customers can combine rail transport, storage, customs and onward distribution within a single operational setup, coordinated by one team.

A gateway to Northern France and South-West Flanders
The strength of Gosselin LAR is its location. The terminal sits directly on the French border, on the doorstep of the industrial area of Northern France (the Lille–Roubaix–Tourcoing metropolis and the wider Hauts-de-France region) and in the middle of the heavily industrialised South-West Flanders region around Kortrijk, Waregem and Roeselare.
That position turns the rail shuttle into an effective last-mile platform: deep-sea containers arrive by rail at Rekkem and are delivered the final stretch by road, increasingly by e-truck, to factories, distribution centres and warehouses on both sides of the border, often within an hour's drive. The result is shorter road legs, lower emissions and a single point of contact for the full door-to-door movement.

Skilled cargo handling by experienced teams
Cargo handling is performed by Gosselin's own terminal and warehouse teams.
Because the same teams work with the cargo throughout the operation, they build detailed knowledge of customer requirements, cargo characteristics and handling procedures. This creates greater operational consistency, faster handling and a safer working environment for complex, high-value or non-standard shipments.
