Road transport across Belgium and Europe
Gosselin provides road transport services throughout Belgium and across Europe, supporting both direct transport movements and wider intermodal logistics operations.
Because road transport is integrated with our terminals, warehousing operations and inland transport network, cargo can move between transport modes without relying on multiple service providers.
Exceptional road transport
For cargo that exceeds standard road dimensions or weight limits, our teams coordinate exceptional road transport with the right equipment, routing and operational support. Supported by our Oosterweel location near the Port of Antwerp-Bruges, oversized and heavy cargo can be positioned, prepared and connected efficiently to onward transport across Belgium and Europe.
Fleet capacity and operational flexibility
Operating our own fleet gives us greater control over planning, capacity and service reliability. It also allows us to respond more quickly to changing transport requirements and fluctuations in cargo volumes.
Direct access to inland terminals
Gosselin's road operations are closely connected to inland terminals in Deurne, Genk-Zuid, Wielsbeke and Rekkem, each linked to the Port of Antwerp-Bruges through regular barge and rail services.
Making first and final-mile transport more efficient
By moving containers inland before final delivery, trucks spend less time travelling to and from the port. This reduces exposure to congestion, shortens road distances and creates greater flexibility for transport planning.
These inland gateways bring cargo closer to its destination before the last road transport leg begins, helping create more efficient transport flows throughout Belgium and Europe.
Supporting warehousing and distribution
Road transport plays a central role in warehouse and distribution operations. Cargo can be collected from suppliers, delivered into storage, transferred through cross-docking activities or distributed to customers across Belgium and Europe.
Because transport and warehousing are managed within the same logistics network, inventory, handling and delivery activities can be aligned more efficiently. Looking for storage, inventory management or distribution support?
Case study
From terminal to warehouse
For TVH, road transport forms the final stage of an intermodal import flow. Containers arrive in Antwerp by sea, continue inland by barge to our terminal in Wielsbeke and are then delivered to TVH's warehouses in Waregem by truck.
The combination of terminal operations, barge transport and final-mile road delivery allows containers to move from port to warehouse through a single logistics network.
